Emily Sloan, MA, LPC
Licensed Professional Counselor
I believe therapy should be a place where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of the patterns that have been keeping you stuck.
I work with individuals navigating all-or-nothing thinking, perfectionism, anxiety, stress, and control-related patterns. Whether you're dealing with loss or a lifetime of internal pressure, I offer a nonjudgmental space to process and heal.
I take a practical, goal-focused approach using evidence-based methods like CBT, mindfulness, and self-compassion. I also utilize EMDR, solution-focused, and trauma-informed approaches so our work is both supportive and effective.
I believe in collaborating on strategies that fit your needs. I tend to be straightforward because it helps people make real changes faster, and I make sure sessions are relatable and supportive so you feel comfortable sharing honestly.
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my family, hiking, and going to the beach. Summer is my favorite time of year. The sunshine is a simple reminder to slow down, feel joy, and appreciate simplicity.
